Seeking 2nd Opinion on treatment

It is important to understand your treatment plan and to work with your oncologists on the plan that you are comfortable with. Some people may seek the knowledge and advice from different experts to confirm a treatment plan as recommended by their oncologist or to find out if other treatment options are available. Getting a second opinion is your right as a cancer patient. Examples of organizations offering 2nd opinion:

The Second Opinion offers free 2nd opinion service for Californians who have been diagnosed with new or recurrent cancer.

Dana-Farber offers online 2nd opinion service.
